Instagram, the popular photo sharing app is exploding in popularity.  The app, which was released on iOS in October of 2010 and was recently purchased by Facebook for 1 Billion dollars (yes $1,000,000,000) last month, currently has over 50 million users.  Incredibly the app has been installed by over 10 million users since its release for Android just over a month ago.  The Android version was missing a few features available in iOS but just today Instagram released an Android update which includes Tilt-Shift…a feature gives your photos depth of field and realistic blur.  Time will tell how Facebook integrates Instagram into their model.  I for one enjoy using the program how it functions today and hope that big blue doesn’t hinder the working app as it stands now.  I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
